Firebase is currently outputting closed connection errors

Postmortem

Google Firebase had a major global outage this afternoon that lasted for 6 minutes. This outage impacted our Virtual Lobby, but the overall functionality still worked, with limited connectivity to Chats, Questions, Group Rooms and interactions.

We have implemented a fix which allows you to connect to the Virtual Lobby with limited connectivity. While Google Firebase is offline, we recommend to switch to InEvent native websockets under Settings > Tools.
